Custom Shops & Workshops Built for Norfolk & Oxford County

We build heated woodworking shops, multi-bay equipment shops, and detached workspaces from slab to finish — engineered to handle Ontario winters and decades of daily use.

Shops by Norfolk County Construction

What's included

  • Engineered slab with frost-protected footings
  • Insulation, vapour barrier, and drywall packages
  • Overhead and pedestrian door coordination
  • Electrical rough-in and finish to match your needs

Shops sized to how you actually work

Most of our shop clients come to us with a vague footprint and a long list of must-haves: a lift bay, a clean room, a mezzanine, room for a CNC. We start with the workflow and reverse-engineer the building around it — bay sizes, door placements, ceiling heights, and electrical layout all decided before the slab is poured.

Frost-protected slabs and proper structure

Every shop sits on an engineered slab with frost-protected footings, vapour barrier, and rebar — not a thickened-edge afterthought. We frame conventionally or post-frame depending on span, then sheath, side, and roof with materials rated for our climate.

Insulation, electrical, and finishing in one contract

Spray foam or batt insulation, vapour barrier, drywall, LED lighting, 60-amp or 100-amp sub-panels, compressed-air rough-ins, in-floor heat — we coordinate every trade so your shop is turnkey on handover day, not a shell you finish yourself over five winters.
